no VPN popup

After trying to find a solution for two hours for this problem I don´t know what to do anymore. I installed everything correctly but when I go ./gnirehtet run nothing pops up at my phone. I activated autostart etc. and the installment window also pops up correctly. I´m using a Xiaomi Pocophone F1 with MIUI 10 and Android 9. Also I am a beginner at coding and I don´t really have a clue how to apply your solutions. So i´d love to get some advice :D

How to build the master branch (Is there a special command and which Programm do I have to use?) Also do I have to build them separately or together and do I have to build them on the Phone or the Windows device?

@tomdehua Building the APK and rust binary from the master branch fixed the problem for me on Android 10. There is a good documentation on how to build the project: https://github.com/Genymobile/gnirehtet/blob/master/DEVELOP.md

i have also the same issue with xiaomi redmi note 2, every thing is installed probably but the vpn popup does not displayed, any solution?

Thank you , I have managed to solve this issue by removing a security line in mani xml file using apk editor pro and now it is working perfectly... Thank you for designing and maintaining this extremely useful tool. one more request, not all applications work under reverse tethering, is there another tool or fix like cheating system that we are using wifi? without root is preferred?

Using the USB 2.0 USB port in my computer instead of the 3.0 one solved the issue for me. Good luck
