Discussion: Can we make the MIxS linkml more modular?

(From in person discussions Fri1Aug at GSC25 working group day) Looking forwards to new extensions being used in more modular way we don't want to be automatically doing an all checklists with all extensions.

Examples include aDNA with Soil and with any of the checklists.

What are implications for ingesters of MIxS (INSDC partners and NMDC etc)?

how do we suggest to NCBI/EBI etc which combinations of things should be displayed?

TWG- potentially we (GSC) can delete the predefined combinations part of the linkML? but what implications does that have?

Do we need a protocol to make proposals of which combinations the communities would like?
