Miner Crashing
After 30-45min of mining the miner crashes Using windows 10
How can this be fixed? Are there any log files?
Having the same issue in windows 10. The cards are ramping up but the fans are not could be a heat issue
@Aaronminer1 should they, the fans ? In general video chips are made to sustain high temperatures, sometimes as high as 110-120 Celsius
I do not think the fans or overheating are the issue.
Download CPU Caps Viewer 1.31 and open GPU Shark ("More GPU info" button in the program) and see there.
With my Win10 / 16.10.3 drivers / XFX 7700 I run video tests and until temperature reaches 60C the fans are idle. GPU load is swinging 91-95%. As it grows to 61C - the fans are boosted and the GPU load gets capped at 83-87%.
And OpenCL tests behave the same here.
So it is AMD drivers that target the default maximum of power consumption (a.k.a. thermal dissipation), whatever the load is.
You may try finding overclocking options in your video drivers, remove safety checks and moving your video into no-more-warranty modes. That would perhaps allow you to hear the fans an give maybe 15% boosts, if that matters....
Anyway, that GPU Shark panel would let you see the temperature of the videocard, if it does not go over the board - there is just no reason to boost the fans. Almico SpeedFan also can show GPU temperature.
Same here...W7 64bit 5x290X, monitored this through the last night and slowly I'm thinking it crashes when I close the TeamViewer connection. When I have an active connection nothing is happening and it is running without problems...
