Big sur installation does not show in opencore (usb) plus some dumb questions
Hi, I'm trying to install Big Sur on my laptop, I had Monterey back then, I had to wipe up my SDD because it was a disaster, I wanted to give Big Sur a shot because I saw it has wifi and bluetooth working, unlike monterey does. My question, why pre efi (on both big sur and monterey) has missing lots of kexts, like the realtek one? and why does it needs two efis for installing? I'm just curious about this. and also, last dumb question, i'm trying to install big sur, but opencore does show, but without the big sur installation, do you know why? thank you for answering ^.^
Hey @elcarajos6, in order for OpenCore picker to show everything make sure that the scanpolicy
is set to 0. You can search for the scanpolicy
attribute using a text editor or Xcode Plist editor.
You mentioned that Monterey does not support wifi and Bluetooth, but everything is working fine for me on Monterey 12.2.1
If you want you can test with the latest 0.7.8 build, I made a few days ago.
