I would like to have a parameter that lets the player play when the app is set to background, by the HOME key.

We are not supporting video playing in the background. Can you please give us any use-case for this?

I have an app that plays my own videos store on my own server.

They are like podcasts.

People could listen to them on the bus, but forcing them to keep the screen open is extremely unfriendly.

Even I don't listen to podcasts with the screen on.

For podcasts, I guess we should audio player. Video players playing in the background may lead to performances issues.

Like podcasts. Using images that people need to see from time to time.

Do you maybe know if Chewie player support this feature?

This supports Picture in Picture Mode? Like I tried this in Pip But I was Unable to Access the controls like skip for 10 sec in PIP
