Hotspot isn't working with dnscrypt + no firewall(root)
App
InviZible Pro 7.2.0(fdroid)
Device
Android 14, NothingOS 2.6
Description
If I turn on the hotspot at the start, there will be no change in the app hotspot icon.
If I turn on the hotspot while stop, the hotspot icon will temporarily light up green and then back to blank.
To make the hotspot work, I need to uninstall the app.
Some Informations with dnscrypt(root)
- bluetooth tethering work
- usb tethering work
- kde connect in hotspot work
Log
I had sent it to invizible email: [email protected]
Thank you
I recently found some useful information.
- Wi-Fi hotspot can be used when the USB tethering is in use.
- Wi-Fi hotspot can be used when the bluetooth tethering is in use.
Perhaps, the problem came from iptable rules of mDNS(uid 1020) or rules of dns tether(uid 1052)? like afwall issues?
Obviously, the problem is that InviZible cannot properly detect when Wi-Fi sharing is enabled. This is a big challenge in newer versions of Android. Another problem is that I don't currently have any rooted devices running the new version of Android, so I can't properly debug the app. My newest rooted device runs on A10.
OK, I see. Thanks for your reply.
