Current behavior

if i set focusFirstElement="true" and as soon as it finds a matching tag i can't change the input value anymore. It also doesn't show any visual hint that the first one is in focus.

Chrome also gives me this error message:

Error: ExpressionChangedAfterItHasBeenCheckedError: Expression has changed after it was checked. Previous value: 'ng2-tag-input--focused: true'. Current value: 'ng2-tag-input--focused: false'.

Expected behavior

i expect it to highlight the first possible tag and set it if i press enter. The value of the input should always be editable to create new tags with a value which could include the value of other tags.

Minimal reproduction of the problem with instructions (if applicable) set the focusFirstElement-attribute to true and if i type 'te' ('test' is in the list) and try to change it to 'foo'.

What do you use to build your app?. Please specify the version Angular Cli 1.6.3

Angular version: 5.2

ngx-chips version: 1.9.2

Browser: all
