"Create new snippet" vs "Add new snippet"

Which one do you think is better @iWrote ?

TODO: research other expanders, google drive, onedrive, etc. to see which terminology is more in popular use.

Where? The hover text for the button says add new snippet or folder. The buttons say Create new Snippet/Folder.

And I think both are good. Descriptive. Aptly placed.

So the best thing to do for now is - no changes. Let it stay familiar for existing users, as it's already clear enough for new ones.

EDIT: said in reference to Snippets page of the live version

Well, not closing yet.

I intend to research (or you do, if you wish to) the frequencies of "create new file" vs "add new file" as well as the specific contexts (file-folder, evernote like, github issues, etc.) where these words are used.

Sites like this are a good place to start - https://www.nngroup.com/articles/date-input/

@iWrote You see, people are peculiar on even very little things. But things we think are little actually have a lot of significance for ux/ui. Hence my concern about this issue also.

Doesn't matter. As long as you consistently use one everywhere.

The confusion will never arise if the entire app says create/add.

Ok, that's also good. Will review once through out the app.

Went through the code. It's very inconsistent :( I will fallback to "Create" button as it has been the face for quite some long time.

@JAIDEV123 Whatever you decide, keep it consistent across the whole options page.

Interesting thought. But in my view it is best to avoid any second thoughts, I prefer "New" + Whatever is being added. Will do research for the sake of it but feel like this can be closed.

Oh, ok, I never realized just "new" works too. Well, that's fine by me.
