False Alarm on OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T on updating the Android version to 11

Open manualiase opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

The Jailmonkey method isJailBroken() is returning a false alarm when we install on a OnePlus 6 series phone (Oneplus 6 or OnePlus 6T). This happens when our app is already working in Android 10 and updates the Android OS version to Android 11.

Tried multiple versions of jail-monkey including latest 2.6.0 (Earlier we used 2.3.3). Both are having the same issue

Can we get some support on this to understand why there is a false alarm that on updating to Android 11, OnePlus 6 device becomes jailbroken or if it is just a bug, we need to fix it.

Please let me know if you need additional inputs on this issue. I am happy to help.

Seems to be related with BusyBox check. Found this interesting: image src: https://github.com/scottyab/rootbeer

I'm assuming this is still an issue? Was thinking on using this for prod but if it's "false alarming" for a bunch of Android devices this might not work for our use case. Any updates appreciated.
