Grass on Kerbin seems to glow based on my camera angle.

No idea what's causing this, I've tried re-installing Parallax and restarting the game whenever the issue appears, but it always comes back. Sometimes it appears as if the grass has fixed itself like in these images:

But then the issue will come back regardless.

I need more information on this. What mods are installed? What are your graphics settings?

As the op hasn't answered, I'll jump in as I do have the same problem. During my experiments trying to fix the problem, I noticed on loading into the scenery the grass loaded "behind" the camera is dark and very shadowy. Grass loaded inside the camera angle shows these reflections. When I move my rover only glowing grass shows up. I have tried with different rover parts, the problem also doesn't seem to be connected to lights from the vehicle, as it also appears with vehicles without any light sources.

The said issue occurs even on a "vanilla" ksp, with only the mods parallax requires installed, so it seems to be not mod-dependent.

Following settings were said they might help, but they didn't solve the problem for me:

  • Delete the "Scatterer Atmospheric Cache" Folder (source: KSP Forums, Parallax thread)
  • Turn off stock AA (source: reddit)
  • Reinstall with ckan (Did several times, and even manually in case there is something wrong with ckan) (source: my weird brain)
  • Changing the Screens (different res) didn't solve the problem (source: my weird brain again)
  • Turn Collision on and off (source: reddit)
  • The settings.cfg you have provided
  • No City Lights are installed

System Data: (all drivers are up to date, I even flashed my bios to be sure it's not such a simple reason) Ryzen7 5800X GeForce RTX3070 32GB DDR4-3200 1 m2 SSD (KSP runs from here) with an additional sata hdd Screens: LG Widescreen (KSP runs here on fullscreen) and a 4k 27" on top of that.

Sorry I wasn't able to reply, my laptop broke at the start of the week. I've tried most of the things Snifferz said and they didn't work, and my mods and settings are here: image image

I have the same problem, I deleted almost everything that Parallax has nothing to do with but the problem still exists. It looked as if the grass had wrongly reflected the sun's rays, leaving them in their own shadow and dark against the sun; When they're turned away from the sun, they look as harsh as aluminum foil. I'm also experiencing this issue with very dark shadowy grass when the sun is high and its bright outside, and almost glowing white grass from certain angles when the sun is lower in the sky. I'd love to contribute something to help resolve it, but I'm not sure what would be useful in this case, having read the thread up to here. Game log? Mod list? Computer specs? Something else?
