Is there a way to make exterior sounds muted when shooting from inside?

I would like to make the the exterior sound silent when in gunner sight. Right now If I shoot my machineguns or my cannon I can still hear part of the exterior sound. making it sound weird in some sound effects.

Shure you can do it, use snapshot "tank". I suggest you to read Fmod manual about snapshots.
