Not handing "A" to finalACF, which in turn does not hand it to gACF, would sometimes lead to "No convergence in the second stage" and thus not report bootstrapped standart errors.

I second this. My mistake, forgot to pass A to the bootstrap call in finalACF after adding the A option.
