Your Expectation
Placing Transformer on a cable should just work without any problems
The Reality
By Placing the Transformer on a cable the entire power network shuts down. No energy at all can be drawn from the lsc dynamo hatch anymore. disconnecting and reconnecting the output cable to the lsc fixes it again
Your Proposal
No idea how to even debug this but it is reproducable on our Server
Final Checklist
- [X] I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying the bug still exists will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
- [X] I can reproduce this problem consistently by follow the exact steps I described above, or this does not need reproducing, e.g. recipe loophole.
- [X] I have asked other people and they confirm they also have this problem by follow the exact steps I described above, or this does not need reproducing, e.g. recipe loophole.
I would like to add some extra info as I can reproduce this with multi amp transformers as well (In my specific case I used EV 64, 16 and 4 amp transformers) . You can circumvent it by placing the transformer on a cable that is disconnected from you main net and afterwards connect the wire.
Can we increase the priority of this bug? That workaround above doesn't help. Whenever I add a transformer to my main network, it pulls all ampers it can and then I have to run around for about 10 minutes checking every of 200 multis I have to switch on those that went off. This is ridiculously irritating and more than that sometimes you miss some machines and find out they were switched off after hours.
This also affects the 2.6.0 beta 1.
I'm on 2.5.1, not even sure how you're having this issue. I use transformers heavily in my base and i've had no isses with power to machines when placing more on the network
I know about the enet issues in general, thats not new. But I cant reproduce this one specifically. And one other dev also wasnt able to.
A somewhat minimal setup with clear instructions to reproduce would be quite helpful.
Okay so i dont have time to play at the moment so i cant try to reproduce it myself again but this is what we did and what happened at least three times:
- Have existing ZPM 64 AMP power Line connected to LSC 64A Dynamo Hatch
- Place a Hi-AMP Luv Transformer directly onto a cable so that it will immedeately connect the transformer -> Total Power loss for all machines connected to that cable. Only fix was to break and place the cable at the lsc dynamo hatch again.

sorry, nothing on my end. I have a live line with a machine running and put the hi-amp transformer of the tier below on it which connects automatically (not that it would work that way). But everything is fine, the machines on the line keep running, no powerfail.
@chochem found this issue and it seems to be very close to my one. Maybe you will be able reproduce at least this one? https://github.com/GTNewHorizons/GT-New-Horizons-Modpack/issues/15580
