Your Expectation

While the uncertainty game is something I detest, I would expect it to at least fail after a research operation

The Reality

I had enough additional quantum computation for an entire computer to fail, and not fail the process.

Two computers became uncertain, stopping a 9 hour (stargate) research.

Your Proposal

Remove the uncertainty game entirely; If I wanted to play whatever that game is, I would go and play it. I don't, however: I want to solve engineering problems. There is no engineering solve for uncertainty: The irritating game shoehorned into another game is bad, but the fact that it's a chance to randomly lose hours worth of billions of EU with no resolution other than: Well play the game again and hope! Is just poor gameplay.

My vision and my pattern matching just aren't good enough to generally solve this game once, I regularly have to break the uncertainty resolver (yes, I am using the X) and controller to entirely restart. Of course, you cannot do that on a "hot" quantum computer so have to wait more hours for it to entirely cool.

Failing that, at least prevent it from failing during a research operation.

Final Checklist

  • [X] I have searched this issue tracker and there is nothing similar already. Posting on a closed issue saying the bug still exists will prompt us to investigate and reopen it once we confirm your report.
  • [ ] I can reproduce this problem consistently by follow the exact steps I described above, or this does not need reproducing, e.g. recipe loophole.
  • [ ] I have asked other people and they confirm they also have this problem by follow the exact steps I described above, or this does not need reproducing, e.g. recipe loophole.
