TESSDATA_PREFIX seems to be ignored by the compiled program

After running (replace [user] with your username) export TESSDATA_PREFIX=/home/[user]/Downloads/Capture2Text-Prototype/tessdata if I try to run: ./Capture2Text_CLI --screen-rect "400 200 600 300" The program outputs:

Please make sure the TESSDATA_PREFIX environment variable is set to your "tessdata" directory.
Failed loading language 'eng'
Tesseract couldn't load any languages!
Unable to initialize OCR language:  "English"
Error, specified OCR language not found.
Installed OCR Languages:
English

Any clues on what I may be doing wrong? I followed the instructions you mention in your README file. I'm using the latest release.

I'm running on Ubuntu 18 LTS.

I don't know what would be required to enable the TESSDATA_PREFIX environment variable to be able to be used.
