Messaging / invalid match of the phone numer when sending a message

Open pczekalski opened this issue 5 months ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

Assume the following scenario:

  1. In my SMS inbox, there is a correspondence with 4444 (O2 UK top-up number).
  2. In my SMS inbox, there is also correspondence with another regular number, +48xxxxx4444 Messages in the application on the PC side (KDE connect) are messed up; all messages on my mobile are from the +48xxxxx4444 (2) number presented in the application as bound to the 4444 top-up number (1).

It seems like only the last 4 digits of the contact are taken to identify the messages.

I'm using two sim cards, and by the way, 4444 is correspondence on one of them, while +48xxxxx4444 is correspondence on another.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Get some correspondence with 4444
  2. Get some correspondence with another number that ends with 4444
  3. Open messaging app, see messages are bound wrongly

Expected behavior

Separate identification and binding of the threads correctly
