System Details (please complete the following information):

  • GSConnect version: 43
    • Installed from: GNOME Extensions Website
  • GNOME/Shell version: 3.36.4-1ubuntu1~20.04.2
  • Distro/Release: Ubuntu 20.04

PS: Thank you so much for GSConnect. It's might not be perfect (especially when it's losing its mount points and claims that it's still mounted) but I'm very happy with it.

It doesn't seem to be related to the theme or Ubuntu version. In the meantime I upgraded to Ubuntu 21.04 and use another theme but the issue is still present: Screenshot from 2021-06-19 19-08-17

I think this is probably the minimum width of the separator pushing the battery widget out of view.

I think this is probably the minimum width of the separator pushing the battery widget out of view.

I have no clue how this works but where is the minimum width defined? And how can someone debug this? Is there some kind of live inspection (i.e. like the developer tools in a browser)?

I guess that the width is guaranteed because of the horizontal margins on the separator in GNOME Shell's sass theme.

Either you can mess with the CSS in src/stylesheet.css or you try removing the separator bar from the separator item in src/shell/devices.js.
