Not connecting....

Open Koreldro opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Whenever i try to connect, steamVR shows a green headset icon and whenever i press on room setup, headset on SteamVR turns gray. Also inside the headset, all i see is a white screen with a mini headset along with wifi icon above it.

Headset does not connect, i have enabled all VR settings in Radeon software.... Also i turned on SteamVR integration. image_2023-05-10_153606482 image image

(I'm using Oculus Quest 2)

@Koreldro - can you attach the AMDWirelessVR.log file from c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\logs?

Check your firewall settings. Shut down Windows firewall as an experiment. Often the problem is that Windows defaults to the Public network setting and the firewall pop-up dialog that is displayed when you started SteamVR the first time has the "Public" checkbox unchecked by default, if you just clicked on the OK button, you opened the firewall for all private and domain networks, but not public. Ideally change the network type to Private.

AMDWirelessVR.log I set my network type to private. Also I will try <"Check your firewall settings. Shut down Windows firewall as an experiment"> later.

It works. However, the performance is terrible. Whenever i turn my headset around or move my controllers, it takes few seconds to react, also the screen is very late. I need help on fixing this issue.
