crashes & hangs when using multiple vms

Open flumm opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

Hi,

i got it running (in a way) but have difficulty using more than one vm running one vm works mostly ok, but when i start a second one, they crash, hang and i get gim errors on the host (see attachment)

gim.txt

any idea what can cause that?

also it seems the ubuntu guest drivers are very unstable, since most of the time i get errors in the guest and host, and it seems not very usable, should i open a second issue here for that?

Hi , flumm I can pass-through several vfs to different guest OS successfully, however, I don't have an suitable guest driver, could you tell me how you make it work? even it is unstable. Thank you.

You can try the new 19.Q1 driver. It would be useful to have guest logs to know what is happening on the guest to cause GFX engine hang.

Also, linux guest is not officially supported for VFs yet. The recommended guest drivers for KVM can be found under "KVM Open Source" on the driver web page linked above.

Hello, I installed gim driver in centos successfully, but the guest OS for win10 is hung up after installing the driver 19.Q1。Why?

Thanks!

@vigchand2705https://github.com/vigchand2705 Could you please tell me the download link of AMDGPU Pro driver Version 18.40, I can't find it on FirePro™ S7150 (Passive Cooling) Drivers & Support page. Thanks very much.
