Image i click on icon and the window appears and disappears instantly. Are you trying to build the extension yourself using the source code? I am sorry to disappoint you, but we are not supporting self-building right now.

The main purpose of this code is for you to be able to verify the extension's integrity, not modifying it. Check out the readme for a more detailed description.

I haven't changed anything, the extension has been installed for a long time, the problem started about a couple of months ago

Oh okay, that's weird then. Did you try reinstalling it through the official store? We usually push at least one update every week, so you are probably on a super outdated version right now.

Can you still try reinstalling? The extension works for everyone else, so this has to be an issue with your local setup.

Alternatively try another browser, there are many chrome-based ones and all of them should work.
