I'm seeing similar issues with retrievers in some contexts. It seems buy the moment it triggers the retriever events the trace / span are not properly set.
This returned type "Repeated" also breaks the CacheBackedEmbeddings when wrapping GoogleGenerativeAIEmbeddings.
