Width of config editor can pose usability issues

the default width hides the color box on the config editor, as well as the purple box to change into a jexl callback

an alternative layout that tries to fit as much as possible into the area of the config editor may help

if the drawer is dragged out it helps a bit, but my feeling is that if more could be packed into the existing area it would be good. digging into this requires debugging various css and flexbox layouts
