New launchsites not working [1.8.1]

Quite simply, added launchsites are not working on version 1.8.1.15. At first I thought this could be happening due to some interaction with KCT, but the issue persisted after disabling that mod in-game.

A few notes:

• The launchsite selector on the VAB doesn't seem to save opened/closed sites properly. Sometimes they stay closed, sometimes they are opened but show up as closed after returning to the VAB...
• Selecting added launchsites on the launchsite selector does nothing, as vessels show up on the default launchsite regardless. Forcing it by closing the vanilla site doesn't fix it.
• Not sure if related, but KCT doesn't recognize new launchsites either.

Well that also happened to me, I need this to be fixed as I was about to make a kerbal konstruct Launchsite add-on And Kerbal Konstructs hasn't been updated since 1.8.1.
