This feature is obsolete. Although it may still work in some browsers, its use is discouraged since it could be removed at any time. Try to avoid using it.

Not part of any specification. This interface was previously part of Media Capture and Streams but was removed in 2013.

Given the seemingly low interest (no vote on the issue), not sure if even a search result would make sense → I think this issue can be closed
