Can we add support of XSLT on the browser side?

This is closest I have found:

I think we need the following info:

  • XSLT Stylesheet Processing Instruction with application/xslt+xml as media type as per IANA registry.
  • XSLT/XPath 1.0
  • XSLT/XPath 2.0
  • XSLT 2.0 / XPath 3.0
  • EXSLT

I'm really waiting for XSLT 2.0 in the browser, it's been out there for 8 years now (recommendation - drafts even longer!).

+1 Seems some mobile browsers don't even support the basic xml-stylesheet include (android browser). Really could use an overview.

I love XSLT, but the biggest obstacle to my using it (even just for personal sites) is that browser support is a bit of an unknown (especially on mobile browsers).

(XSLT has been available since MSIE 5.0, Netscape 6 etc. Also on mobile browsers save for Android Browser <= 3.0 pretty sure.)
