Question: Is there any way to set other mods' event as a task trigger?

I'm trying to make a modpack these days but I'm facing a problem now. I'm wondering if I can detect a mods' custom event added to forge's EventBus and once the event happened, a new quest line will be visible. Actually, the event is a storm being spawned, which is added by a mod "Weather, Storms & Tornadoes" aka weather2.

Is there any way to get this done? Maybe I have a small brain but thank you If anybody can help me!
