Missing all config files

Hello! ive been wanting to use this quest for a while now but every time i try to use it, even if its the only mod i have, i cant seem to get the mod to work. Ive gone through so many tutorials about 'how to fix' the mod but when it comes to changing or editing the config files i find i have none! the folders are there but theyre all empty? What do i do..? is there anyway i can get the normal files? is it just bugged or something? I really want to use the mod but nothing i do can fix this. Im sorry if theres already an open issue about this but i cant seem to find it.

Minecraft version? Mod version? What exactly do you mean by "not work"? Is it crashing?
