Location

Dadbattle Pico Mix. Present in all difficulties, but I will be using hard as an example. 24th section, 30 seconds in.

Description

If I recall correctly, in the last pit stop update, many of boyfriend's and pico's songs got updated to include the HEY animation, just like bopeebo had. That's all fun and cool, I love that. However, one track got absolutely shafted in this update. Dadbattle pico mix.

This is the only instance in the game where the player has to press the arrow keys despite your character not singing (except blazin cough). I feel like this ruins the flow of the chart, and I've made an enhancement post a few months ago asking for this weird charting quirk to be removed. However I was met with a response saying that it has to be this way, due to limitations of the play animation event.

This is why I would like to propose an alternative way to chart this while keeping the cheer animation playing along to the beat.

I believe that this way of charting doesn't interrupt the flow of the song as much as the original solution

Feels like too much is happening at once here. I personally just prefer how it was initially but thats just me

i kinda the notes as hey notes instead of events, besides the "hey" is from pico's voice files, not the instrumental, meaning that pico would just be flipping us off for no reason if we miss the note before the hey animations since pico wouldn't be making any noise unless if a note is pressed
