Rusted Key 3D Printer balance.

A player can trade all his white tier items for Rusted Keys then use all the Rusted Keys on Rusty Lockboxes along the stages, Rusty Lockboxes will give the player green or red items, but they are also added into other players inventories. The only player that should deserve the item is the player who traded the white items for Rusted Keys in the 3D Printer.

Just thought about an method to solve the problem:

  • Remove Rusted Key from ShareSuite's item blacklist.
  • Once a key gets used, each player's key gets consumed and each player that had a key will receive the item that the Rusty Lockbox spawns directly to their inventory.
  • Limit Rusty Lockboxes spawn amount to one for each stage, playing singleplayer a player would get at max one item per stage from Rusty Lockboxes.

I'd rather not introduce long code just for edge cases. What about simply blacklisting the key from 3d printers?

I'm fine with blacklisting Rusted Keys from 3D Printers, but I still do prefer the method I mentioned as it doesn't change the game balance experience compared to singleplayer. Removing Rusted Keys from 3D Printers will slightly increase the chance of a 3D Printer spawning with a unwanted item, since it has less one good item from the pool of items to select from.
