Sampling Rate

Open 108anup opened this issue 8 years ago • 4 comments

Hi!, I am a university student doing a research project, for that I wanted to use the mic array at 48 KHz sampling rate as I am recording events in ultrasonic ranges.

The firmware update docs mentions 32KHz sampling rate, can the firmware (raw) be tweaked trivially to get a 48KHz rate if one has the source? It would be great if you could give the source or make appropriate changes to the source to increase the sampling rate and upload the updated binary.

Thanks, Anup

I upgraded the firmware to raw 0x82. The docs say the sampling rate supported is 32KHz but I am only getting frequencies upto 4KHz in the spectrogram. Do I need to explicitly set the values of the appropriate registers using the node-hid ?

Also if higher sampling rates could be supported that would be very great. Also a reply form your side would be beneficial. You guys are producing so many units but are not active on the github repo, its very disappointing, is there any other forum where these queries are entertained?

does ReSpeaker Far-field Mic Array supports grater than 32000 Hz sampling rate ???

It seems it supports 8K sampling frequency by default. It should at least support 16K for it to be used meaningfully.
