Google Meet - names disappear, they used to be fixed. Important when you are teaching a class!
Before opening an issue, please check the existing open issues to see if somebody has already reported it! If something is horribly wrong, like all videos showing up in a single column, chances are somebody already reported it. Please reply in that issue instead.

That isn't an issue with Grid View. That's something Google implemented when they extended their Tiled View. Maybe it could be suggested as a new feature to override that Google setting so that the name stay.
It’s been working again. Issue only lasted a few days

I have been having the same issue. The students' names have disappeared, and the chime that I used to hear as they signed on has stopped working as well. I am accessing Google Meets using the Google Chrome browser. Any suggestions?
