The example in the README is broken

The example in the bottom of the README.md is broken. I've fixed it a couple of times, but it just keeps breaking. We should probably have a CI check for it, or at least some convenient way of regenerating it. Ideally instead of including the JSON there, we would have a CLI to generate it.
