Update on this: Since 2.6 RPFM can partially edit ESF files. Support is still missing for compressed nodes and certain formats, but it's a start.
I still have an old backup of the game, though it's from the old version. Haven't tested the new china-only version of Arena. Do you need any specific packs?
arena, warhammer 2, three kingdoms and troy. All can be opened by RPFM, though at this point I'm not sure it'll decrypt them.
Can you send me the mod to check it? All shogun 2 tables were decoded back when I added support for it, but there may be a problem with that...
It may be a wrong reference in the table definition or some stuff that should be available in the assembly kit... I'll try to check it on the weekend.

Fixed for the next release. Turns out I kinda messed up some code at some point and caused a cast to lose 4 of each 8 decrypted bytes..... ups.
I mean, I fixed a bug that caused decryption to break. Still need to check the padding thing.
