First of all it's nice to hear that your first problem is solved by the update. Let me have a look into your kotlin issue.

Yep. That seems like a incompatibility between the aspectj plugin and the kotlind plugin 1.6.x. It works when you upgrade to kotlin 1.7.x

Add access to source sets for code generators

You have generateCode tasks for every source set that exists and your generator is called for every of these. I will check if I could add your requested feature easily....
