PSD Start-BitsTransfer and NTLM

I wanted to share this in case it helps. Start-BitsTransfer no longer works with NTLM on Server 2022, I had to update the authentication method to use -Authentication negotiate. Without that change, authenication wouldn’t work.

Specifically, I updated three files: PSDUtility.psm1, PSDDeploymentShare.psm1, and PSDCopyLogs.ps1. After making those changes, you’ll need to perform a full rebuild of WinPE.

The fix should to use negotiate going forward.

Hello, I made a pull request with my changes for approval. I didn't make any other changes than what was covered in the wiki's and youtube videos. I will say @daooze PSDPowershell.ps1 was also a nice addition.

on my server 2022 bits works with ntlm.

It has to do with the versin of Windows 11 you are working with. Regardless it is the recommendation from Microsoft. NTLM is going away.

i used your updated files yesterday because after applying the latest cu on my server 2022 one of my win11 deployments hang up in the cleanup process in in the final stage.

I had to use this (-Authentication negotiate) as well for Windows server 2025 deployments, and it works!
