Question: USB-Stick and static IP
Hi, everything works fine with DHCP Pxe or USB Stick - fully automated.
I wanted to use the USB to connect to my PSDRoot from machines without DHCP.
I found no way to successfully use a static ip.
In bootstrap.ini i tried
[Settings] Priority=MacAddress,PSDRoots,Default [..] OSDAdapterCount=1 OSDAdapter0EnableDHCP=FALSE OSDAdapter0IPAddressList= OSDAdapter0SubnetMask=255.255.255.240 OSDAdapter0Gateways= OSDAdapter0DNSServerList= OSDAdapter0DNSSuffix= SkipBDDWelcome=NO
The OSDLOGS tell me the MacAddress Rule is empty. If I use instead the [Default] Section or a SerialNumber Rule I can see in the LOGS the values are actually picked up. But the network always keeps the AutoConfig network address. Even manually with the wizards any change to the IP config does not seem to work.
I also tried different settings for PSDWizard and PSDPrestartMode.
What am I missing?

There is implemented functionality in the PreStart menu that allows you to set a static IP via a button option.
The packaged Bootstrap.ini file has already the option enabled as:
PSDPrestartMode=PrestartMenu
You can find more info here New PSD Wizard Guide.
I'm not sure if the custom property will work at the time being, calling @arwidmark, @DeploymentBunny and @PowerShellCrack for more info/confirmation.
it might be a driver issue. Not so obvious since i can manually add the ip. However WinPE seems not to respond to it. Seemingly there are many with problems with the I219-V adapter.

No, -wait will create an other issue, go back to using the text based prestart for now, that works /m
