Warning details Reading manifest: "applications" property ignored and overridden by "browser_specific_settings"
OS: OpenSUSE Tumbleweed (updated this morning) Firefox Version: 136.0.4 (64-bit) pywalfox Version: 2.7.4
Error from extension: None & Fetch Failed you are not connected Error from Debugging Page: Warning details
Reading manifest: "applications" property ignored and overridden by "browser_specific_settings"
Errors from Browser Console: Disconnected from native messaging host: null Failed to update option state, target is undefined/null
Troubleshooting Steps Taken: Uninstalling & reinstalling (the extension, python package, and the install command), swapping from my distro's firefox to mozilla's latest release, and verifying all paths were still accurate.
Details: Stopped working recently (a few weeks ago). It fails to connect to the daemon on start up and manually. Logs indicate it successfully creates the socket and then deletes it (nothing else in the logs).
Found an update in the mailing list for my distro mentioning "applications" is now "browser_specific_settings" and I'm wondering if changing that section would resolve the issue but at the same time I feel like more extensions would have issues if that were the case? Not sure.
"applications": { "gecko": { "id": "[email protected]" } }
Let me know if you need any additional information.
I am also facing a similar situation right now. I can't edit "Theme template settings" on pywalfox. I want to change my firefox browser's tabs and frame colors.
