Listing of visited cities on the map view

Open raphpa opened this issue 11 months ago • 3 comments

In the map view it always lists all cities I have been driving through, even if I only have spent minutes there. The point timestamps seem to be correct as well.

How exactly is that calculated?

For example yesterday I went to a place, stayed there for about an hour and went back home the same route. dawarich logs this as one single trip. All cities I passed through were logged as visited.

Does it incorrectly relate all points in a city within the search timeframe even though I was only minutes in them and just passed through them hours apart?

Yes, currently list of cities isn't working as it supposed to work. It's a subject to improvement in the future. It basically lists all the cities you visited in the scope of your selected time frame

Hi,

First of all, thank you for your work on Dawarich – it's a really promising tool and I appreciate all the effort you're putting into it.

I have a quick question regarding the city list feature. In my setup, the MIN_MINUTES_SPENT_IN_CITY variable is set to 60, so I expected the app to list only cities where I actually stopped for at least 60 minutes.

However, currently it seems to show all the cities I passed through – even if I was just driving through them without stopping. I saw your earlier comment mentioning that the city list isn't working as intended yet, but just wanted to double-check:

Is this behavior expected for now, or should the MIN_MINUTES_SPENT_IN_CITY setting already filter those out?

Thanks in advance, and looking forward to any updates.
