Meters between routes and Minutes between routes is not doing anything

I have version 0.18.2 running. I cannot update now because my reverse_geocoding queue is emptied when I update with compose. I made that mistake once and I had to start all over again. I am importing 12 year of Google history.

Why is Meters between routes and Minutes between routes not doing anything on my map. I have a day where I can test it very good. My trip to a location was with a lot of points and the trip back was without points all over the route. So I got one straight line back home. Changing the Meters between routes and Minutes between routes is not doing anything. My trip back home cost me 15 minutes and it's 10 km. But even when I set Meters between routes to 10 meters and Minutes between routes to 1 minute I still get the straight line back home. The time between the 2 trips was 8 hours so that is long enough.

I also got lines after I only imported only the "Semantic Location History" data from Google history. There was no other data in DaWarIch at that time. I was expecting no lines at al with only "Semantic Location History" data, point at that moment were very far from each other. There wasn't any route points, only known locations from known places. I'm thinking the map is always making lines between all points!!

Is this setting only used during the recording process, so only for new registered gps points??? In that case I get it. I am looking at a certain day on the map and changing the settings. In that case nothing is changing on the map. So it's normal nothing is changing for already registered points.

In that case: can you make it also work for already registerd gps points??? That's is what I need after importing all my data. I don't want to do it again. It takes weeks for 12 year.

Settings do work for me and change the map without re-import. If you want to check if they work at all, take a day where you had a flight, change it to 10k of meters and minutes and you will see if the airports now get connected. But sometimes it randomly connects more than two points (I have one point that is connected to 12 others, even though it is clearly in a path when looking at the timestamps (and also only one logger)

New data is reacting like it should.
