Wrong connection between points

Open groetg opened this issue 1 month ago • 4 comments

I am using GPSLogger with my Android phone.

When I cycle a certain distance, points are created, which Dawarich connects with lines, but the lines do not seem to be connected chronologically. How is this possible? Can I influence this with GPSLogger or with the Dawarich settings?

The points with timestamp 19:35:00, are doeing the mess-up, my conclusion. But How can I prevent that new points with older locations are being send in GPSLogger?

Looks like you have more than 1 device tracking at the same time, is this the case?

I have only my GrapheneOS Android Pixel9.

I did a new test with PhoneTrack. The PhoneTrack path was very precies, nut dawarich makes a mess of it. There were much less points catcher in dawarich then in PhoneTrack, with the same config.

Looking at your screenshots, I can tell that your GPSLogger doesn't write the same amount of points as PhoneTrack. All points that are sent to Dawarich will be rendered and Dawarich doesn't alter points' coordinates in any way except for the case when user manually moves point on the map. Which means your GPSLogger settings are configured that way so it can't/won't record all the points. You can try using OwnTracks to record and upload points and compare it to GPSLogger.

Also, we hope to release closed beta test of our android app somewhere in December, so keep an eye for it :)

I think I recorded with 2 apps points. I changed a few stuff and now it is good. I will close the issue
