Where to download the exports?

Open escuco opened this issue 7 months ago • 2 comments

Version 0.25.5

Describe the bug There are now buttons to download the exports, even if the exports have the status "created".

To Reproduce At the points page I've selected all points from 01.01.2000 to 30.04.2025 - which are 2389428 points in total:

Then I clicked on "Export as GeoJSON" to start the export. I did the same with "Export as GPX".

After that I go to the Exports page. There I can see, that the status of both exports are "created". I can delete the exports, but where can I download them?

Expected behavior A button to download the exports should be available.

Hmm can I ask you to provide logs around time you're creating an export?

Of course, but really sorry for asking: where is the log saved or how do I access the log?

You can access them with docker logs command for dawarich_app and dawarich_sidekiq containers

Here are the logs.

First I startet a gpx and json export for the last month with about 10.000 points - that worked and a download button appears. After that I startet the exports since the year 2000 with about 2,3 millions points - that doesn't work.

@escuco do you have dawarich_storage volume configured in your compose file as it is in the default one?

Freika avatar May 13 '25 17:05 Freika

@Freika yes, I have it configured for dawarich_app, dawarich_sidekiq and under volumes.

I see the same issue. If having ranges which contain too many points, the export seems to not complete (but the Job in sidekiq is gone). The logs don't show anything suspicious for me. @Freika, let me know if I can help you with specific logs or information to debug the issue and feel free to re-open the issue.

I'm doing the backup from an instance running 0.25.9 because I want to move my data to a fresh instance. Once the migration is done, I can also re-test with 0.26.6 or newer (whatever is the latest version by then 😉).

Edit: I collected a few numbers:

  • 107975 points and less works
  • 184168 points and up don't work

I did not check the range in between in the meantime.
