meanwhile, i've implemented changes and additions on https://github.com/hayguen/clipgrab , which look quite good for ME, implementing several issues i had opened here like
- mono: issue https://github.com/FreedomBen/clipgrab/issues/8
- quality for audio only formats: https://github.com/FreedomBen/clipgrab/issues/7
- and some more ..
- providing an AppImage at https://github.com/hayguen/clipgrab/releases
however, i got no response from the original author .. and fear, that he's not gonna merge my changes. thus, you'll get merge problems with his future versions! .. and i don't want to "support" further changes .. !? don't know, how to continue!
