Funky Switch (RKJXT1F42001) matrix wiring

Open Griffin-5 opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Hi there,

I'm looking to incorporate two RKJXT1F42001 "funky switches" into a PCB design that's driven by a blue pill board and Freejoy.

The wiring design includes a 4-row x 5-column matrix and I intend to include the hat switch and push button functions into the matrix if possible.

Referencing the funky switch's circuit diagram (below) can I confirm that this configuration will work in a matrix? Essentially, I wired A,B,C,D and center Push to one of 5 columns, and have the Com going to a matrix Row (left diagram below).

The Encoder diagram I assume should work fine as it seems like the same approach as standard encoders according to the Freejoy examples on the Wiki.

Keen for confirmation before I go further with this project. Thanks for reading and for your help!

Hey griffin! I'm actually in the exact same situation: 4x5 matrix, want to incorporate 2 funky switches.

Did your approach work out?

Thanks in advance!
