The repository should have a simpler name.

In the spirit of what was discussed a while ago - in one of the dev meetings - FreeCAD repositories should have simple title-cased names.

Was there ever any technical reason the name uses the Python package structure freecad prefix?

If not, I'd propose something like: Addon-Template

For those worrying about the renaming breaking any existing documentation & examples, it won't.

GitHub automatically creates redirects that cover all relevant uses cases.

( Of course those should be updated over time )
