Pretty self-explanatory, they don't play anything and instead you get a prompt to download an m3u8 file.

That's intentional... try putting the address into VLC.

Other M3U8 files work fine in browser

Either way it's working in my IPTV app and VLC

Pretty strange. If you're so keen on having it in the browser you could get an addon like this.
