Feature description

A button to mute microphone that can be pressed while recording.

Why do you want this feature?

When practicing scripts (from plays or movies) it is often useful to make a recording where one says the lines of the other characters. Thus when replaying it we can simply say our own lines during the blanks between the other's lines. However timing those blanks is difficult to do without actually saying them. A button to quickly mute the microphone while recording would solve this nicely. The "blank" would be the right size.

On recent devices, there's now a quick tile option to block mic access that does the same thing. Would that be too slow?

I don't know whether that'd be good enough, I don't seem to have a recent enough device. As such I still find the feature useful.
