Steps to reproduce the bug

Set as default app (importing message history from Google Messages), then new messages in a group arrive with incorrect author.

Expected behavior

Messages should be attributed to the correct author.

Actual behavior

The messages are attributed to incorrect authors within the group. I have observed this in groups with 3 to 8 members (plus myself). At times, successive messages from different people are represented as having been from the same person.
