Steps to reproduce the bug

1. Receive an MMS message
2. Wait for the blank notification
3. Scroll around the thread until your message says "Sending..." and updates

Expected behavior

Message smoothly appears as soon as it is received.

Actual behavior

Notification appears but message does not in thread. It will only appear after a bit of scrolling.

While receiving an MMS message, are you already in that conversation, or are you opening it after receiving the notification?

One more question - you wrote about scrolling around the thread. Isn't it enough to just scroll down? Maybe the problem isn't that messages take a long time to appear, but it's just that it doesn't scroll.

I reproduced it on my phone: got a notification and the thread was still showing the old message, but it was enough to just scroll down, and the message is there instantly.

Funnily enough it fixed itself when I reinstalled it, but now it's incredibly laggy to type. That might be an issue for another time...

Now when I try to scroll around after the blank notification it does nothing. I just have to wait a long time before it appears.

I notice that too, but for SMS as well. I'm currently scrolling the very conversation i get a message in, receive a new message (that i get a notification for, but that's another subject), but said new message that could easily be displayed in the notification doesn't load for a couple of seconds - usually up to ~3 seconds, but it can sometimes take up to ~8 seconds!

There is no issue with my satellite coverage, my sim card hasn't been acting up (it's actually almost brand new), and my phone isn't old (Nokia TA-1157).
