Import / export of layout to editable text file (json, xml, or ...) would be nice (not only for backup):
- After trying different layout return quickly to old layout.
- Rearranging layout in text editor such as swapping pages (as long as the internal editor does not allow for this).
- For debugging experiments.
Right. The issue might be renamed to something like "Layout import/export". Plus, perhaps not only layout should be included in the backup/export file? Other preferences might be as important. Not that there are many of them right now but they might/should be included in the file, I believe. It is more practical than splitting the two.
This would be a terrific feature, it has been dozens of times that my layout was lost with other launchers and restoring it is very tedious and bookmarks that were shortcuts to home screen are pretty much lost.
