Feature description
Select existing text, and press the "Shift" key to change the capitalization between the following:
- Lowercase
- Sentence case (first letter in uppercase)
- Title case (first letter of every word in uppercase)
- Uppercase
Many Android virtual keyboards have this implemented. In the case of Google Gboard, their algorithm checks the existing capitalization of the selection to identify the most logical next capitalization type.
Why do you want this feature?
It is useful when you accidentally wrote a word with the wrong capitalization. It allows you to make the correction without having to erase and start over.
